Αυλίδα

Ο Δήμος Αυλίδας βρίσκεται στην πλευρά της Στερεάς Ελλάδας και μέσα από αυτόν περνά ο δρόμος που συνδέει την Εύβοια με το Σχηματάρι και την εθνική οδό Αθηνών – Λαμίας. Η περιοχή έχει πλούσια ιστορία και το όνομα της και μόνο μας φέρνει στο μυαλό τον Όμηρο, την Ιλιάδα, τον Τρωϊκό πόλεμο, την Ιφιγένεια κ.α.

Δήλεσι

Το Δήλεσι είναι παραθαλάσσια κωμόπολη του Νομού Βοιωτίας. Βρίσκεται στα σύνορα της Βοιωτίας με την Αττική. Διοικητικά ανήκει στο Δήμο Τανάγρας. Το όνομα "Δήλεσι" του προέρχεται από τον Απολλώνιο τον Δήλιο, τον λάτρευαν στην περιοχή. Στο λιμάνι της πόλης υπάρχουν ερείπια αρχαίου μώλου. Ακόμη αναφέρεται και σε γεγονότα της νεότερης ιστορίας της Ελλάδας, όπως στην Σφαγή του Δηλεσίου με πρωταγωνιστές Έλληνες ληστάρχους και αγγλική οικογένεια λόρδων.

The old drawbridge, which was initially wooden in the era of Ioustinianos , was renovated in 1858, in 1869 and in 1962.From the bridge you can observe the tidal movement of the waters of the Evian Gulf. The new 700m long suspension bridge ,was completed in 1993 and shortens the route by 15 minutes.

 

 

According to the myth, the name Salamina (Salamis) was given to the island by Kychreas in honour of his mother Salamis, one of the five daughters of the river god Asopos.

Poros has the advantage of a twenty four hour access through Galata and then by small boats and ferry boats which take you across in 4 minutes, through the picturesque sea passage. Ο Δήμος Ωρωπού ιδρύθηκε το 2010 με την συνένωση εννέα πρώην Δήμων και κοινωτήτων και προέκυψε από την Διοικητική Μεταρρύθμιση γνωστή με το όνομα Καλλικράτης. Περιλαμβάνει δε τις Δημοτικές ενότητες: Αυλώνας, Αφίδνες, Κάλαμος, Καπανδρίτι, Μαλακάσα, Μαρκόπουλο, Νέα Παλάτι, Πολυδένδρι, Συκάμινο, Σκάλα Ωρωπού, Ωρωπός. Τον Ωρωπό διασχίζει ο κεντρικός οδικός άξονας της χώρας, και έχει μία μοναδική φυσική ομορφιά και πλούσια πολιτιστική κληρονομιά. Η γνωστή λουτρόπολη της Βορειοανατολικής Αττικής είναι μια περιοχή με σημαντική ιστορία που χάνεται στους αιώνες. Στην αρχαιότητα αποτελούσε το εύρωστο αγροτικό κέντρο "Γραία" της πόλης της Τανάγρας στη Βοιωτία και αρχικά ανήκε στην Πανδιονίδα φυλή. Η περιοχή τοποθετείται στη σημερινή θέση της Σκάλας, με σύνορα μεταξύ της διοικητικής εξουσίας Θηβαίων και Αθηναίων. Το 373 π.Χ. περιέρχεται η κατεστραμμένη από τους Βοιωτείς πόλη στους Αθηναίους, ενώ αργότερα αναδεικνύεται σε ανεξάρτητο διαμέρισμα της Αττικής.

Walking on a Dream

Bourtzi is so close to the beach that you can even reach it with your “hand”. In these days Bourtzi is always lit and becomes the trade mark of the city. It was originally baptized as “castello dello soglio”, it was built by the architect Campelloto in 1473. A moving chain blocked the entrance of the bay and the Porto Cadena – port of the chain – became a safe anchorage. Later on it become residence of the executioners of Palamidi.

After the independence, the castle became the place for the Greek government, while during the decade 1960-1970 was operated as a luxurious hotel.The main Syndagma square gathers the most interesting. There are excellent neoclassical buildings, mansion from other forgotten times, with characteristic samples of art, also the buildings where the archeological museum is and Trianon. There are restaurants with traditional cuisine and all sorts of different dishes, that turn the square into the gathering point or just a niece place to relax. Underneath the shadow of the old plane tree, the chieftains organized their war plans. That is why the square was named after the tree. Today there are lots of significant buildings such as the parliament, of the Mosque, where the first Greek parliaments was.

Methana Featured

There are no vehicles in Hydra, all transportation is done with donkeys which make the island even more picturesque. The port of Hydra is daily full with small and larger yachts and cruise boats. Hydra offers its visitors an intense cosmopolitan night life: bars, pubs, disko with great Greek and foreign music.
